About Our Organisation

What is Cumbria STEM Centre Ltd? Cumbria STEM Centre Ltd (www.cumbriastemcentre.co.uk) is a Registered Charity that aims to: • Enthuse and inspire young people about the application of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects by linking schools, colleges, teachers and pupils with industry and research. • Work with a range of partners in the organisation and management of joint STEM projects and events. • Identify enthusiastic volunteers from STEM related businesses and train them to become STEM Ambassadors. • Encourage positive images of STEM related careers by linking schools and pupils with STEM Ambassadors. • Organise seminars and meetings to disseminate good practice. We hold the current STEMNET contract for the management of the STEM Ambassadors Programme and the Schools STEM Advisory network in Cumbria. (www.stemnet.org.uk).
