Dr D's Science Days
http://www.drdssciencedays.co.ukPosted by: Vicki Dennison 1 year 10 weeks ago report this 1 person found this useful I found this usefulDr D's Science Days offers hands-on interactive activity days for Primary School pupils.
There are currently 3 different 'off the peg' activities, each of which introduces an area of science while encouraging development of scientific enquiry skills:
Wave Hello! - Investigate the properties of waves through light and music.
My Mate Bert - explore the human body by meeting Bert, the life sized skeleton, and playing lots of interactive games!
What's the Matter? - Take a close up look at the properties of matter using a digital microscope, and investigate the differences between solids, liquids and gases through drama.Schools can also request a bespoke activity to fit with their current curriculum focus, or as part of a themed activity day / week.
Physics: simplified
http://electrolights.wordpress.com/Posted by: Swetam Gungah 1 year 11 weeks ago report this 2 people found this useful I found this usefulPhysics is about natural phenomena. A very broad description using vague terms. Fair enough but it actually encapsulates what Physics is all about: the natural world. By natural we mean anything and everything that can be experienced and measured by our senses or extensions of our senses. Essentially, things we can see, hear, smell, touch and taste and which we can quantify or measure is what constitute our natural world.
Any natural occurrences or phenomena of this world can be analysed and described by physics.
Electrolights is about explaining those day to day phenomena in simple terms and showing that physics, though mindboggling sometimes, is really about the basic things in life.
