Have practical experience of the correct procedure to wash hands and why, not only in every day use and for cooking but in Food Industry also. Students will have an understanding of bacteria good & bad and what that means to the Food Industry. Have kinesetic learning activities to show how Food Companies have to have strict controls and processes to meet the high quality standards that are set, involving HACCP.
3 extension tasks with this section to consider ability of students and the course they are sitting – GCSE or BTEC.

The students will have an understanding of a design brief, customer demands, production costs and materials/ingredients, packaging the food and selling the food at a profit.
