Mission X at Manchester Creative and Media Academy- Visit from an astronaut!
On 6th of February Manchester Creative and Media Academy hosted a special event to celebrate Mission X: a NASA, ESA and UK space agency sponsored scheme to encourage primary pupils to take part in physical activity and ‘Train like an Astronaut’.
The event was attended by Moston Lane, Crosslee, Charlestown, Lily Lane and Summerville Primary Schools and High School pupils from Manchester Communications Academy, Ambrose Barlow and Manchester Creative and Media Academy.

STEMNET at NASA's Johnson Space Centre
On July 28th 2010 I arrived at the headquarters of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's centre for human spaceflight: the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Centre just outside Houston, Texas, USA. This was to be the start of an epic five day international outreach exercise, with flights generously paid for by the Imperial College London International Office, called the International Space Settlement Design Competition.
