STEM Ambassador named Guernsey Ambassador of the Year
I was recently named The Guiton Group's 'Guernsey Ambassador of the Year', with Guernsey evacuee Joan Ozanne, for our work in bringing the British public's attention to the Guernsey Evacuation of June 1940, and organising commemorative events in 2010. 17,000 children, teachers and families fled Guernsey in June 1940, just prior to the German Occupation of their island - they remained in Britain for five years.
