I have had lots of experience working with school children; I have volunteered in the past at a primary school as a classroom assistant. My responsibilites included: assisting the children in group activities such as maths and science, listening to children read one to one and preparing my own activities for an alloted time with a group of children who were struggling with the work set. I currently teach children to swim and have done for the past 4 years - this has given me an insight into the methods that children respond to best when learning a new skill and how to talk to them in a professional yet helpful and friendly manner. I am a chatty, approachable caring indiviual but am also responsible and professional at all times.
