I can offer schools my opinon as a young person and my experiences. I have worked with lots of young people and have a way of communicating effectivley with them. I took part in apprenticeship week and loved every minute of it, I feel students can relate to me more as there is a small age gap and feel they can talk to me more openly.

What I can offer to schools
A genuine interest and enthusiasm for scientific subjects ranging from nuclear physics to geology. My current role within communications and my previous experience teaching within schools has given me the skills needed to showcase STEM subjects to a young audience. STEM subjects are fun, exciting and interesting and I would love the opportunity to spread the word in my local area whilst learning more about them myself.

What I can offer to schools
I am a young female working in what is perceived to be an industry full of older, highly intelligent and qualified professionals (mostly male). I can show young people that there doesn't need to be a 'grand plan' and you don't have to be qualified up to the eyeballs to be a professional or work in this environment. As long as you are prepared to put the hard work in and see where it gets you, you are just as likely to succeed here as the next person.
