STEMNET Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Network

Many thanks to all the staff and students at St Joseph’s College in Croydon, S. London for helping make their after school STEM club a great success yesterday. We looked at the Maths and Physics involved in making computer games and then applied these techniques to make ‘Angry Teachers’ for the PlayStation®Vita using PlayStation®Mobile, with the students creating the graphics, sound and level design, and my C# programming. It was a really fun, and hopefully educational afternoon, and it was great to read a quote from one of the students who said the presentation was ‘…a great insight in how games we play everyday are using simple maths and physics…’ which is exactly what I was aiming for.
